PPR is an official charity at the 2018 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon – Charity Challenge!

Sunday, October 21, 2018

The Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon (STWM) is an annual event held in Toronto, and is one of Canada’s largest and most prestigious running events, drawing thousands of runners each year. This year’s event will take place on Sunday, Oct 21, 2018.

As part of the marathon events, the Charity Challenge provides a unique way for people to support their charities of choice. By registering to run in one of the events (5km, Half Marathon, or Full Marathon), you can also sign up to fundraise for Parkdale Project Read (PPR) – an official charity at this year’s events. Individuals that register to run, walk, or stroll for PPR can take advantage of PPR’s charity discount code which entitles them to a $5 discount on the registration fee to participate in the 5K, Half Marathon or Full Marathon; and can also take advantage of a personalized fundraising platform – hosted on the Scotiabank Charity Challenge Page – which they can use to raise and monitor donations while trying to reach their fundraising goal for PPR.

STWM charity run posterHOW TO PARTICIPATE AND FUNDRAISE FOR PPR (INCLUDING DISCOUNT CODE):

We have put together a guide with step-by-step instructions to assist you in navigating the two step registration process: to register for the race, and to set up your personal fundraising page. Please download this document, which also includes the Discount Code to take $5 off your registration fee (the code can be found on page 5, line 12 of the document below).

Download the instruction guide here.

(You may need to install Adobe PDF reader on your computer in order to view the document. The Adobe PDF reader software can be downloaded here)

All funds raised through your personal fundraising page will go towards supporting PPR literacy programs. Tax receipts for donations will be automatically generated and sent to your donors by the fundraising platform managed by the marathon/charity run organizers. Thank you for your support!
